Do I have to take all supplements and vitamins provided in the daily bag of any Pureshiva Nadi (TM) product at once ?

Yes, we strongly recommend to take them at the same time to benefit from the synergistic effects and thus to achieve the best results. Pureshiva Nadi (TM) is offering you a special blend of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals that have the strongest impact when consumed at the same time. 

E.g., Calcium and magnesium share a complex and synergistic mineral-to-mineral relationship that is complementary. Magnesium is needed to metabolize calcium in adequate amounts. Given this mutually dependent relationship, it is key to have an appropriate ratio of both minerals for them to be effective at the same time. 

A combined vitamin b-complex with vitamin c supplement is important, since their combination may lead on to even more synergistic effects. Single acid ascorbic vitamins are hard to digest and the combined B and C are believed to promote the increase of cell wall elasticity. Having more elastic cell walls allows the muscle to stretch further without tearing, vital for practicing yoga.

Also remember, if you don't get enough vitamin D, you don't absorb calcium in the intestines well.

Should I take more than one daily bag of any Pureshiva Nadi (TM) product ?

We do not recommend that, since a single bag of Pureshiva Nadi (TM) combines an optimal blend of omega-3 fatty acids, minerals and vitamins for your daily needs. If you are looking for higher dosed fish oil, vitamin c or even calcium, please consider either Pureshiva Nadi Plus (TM) or Pureshiva Nadi Premium (TM) over Pureshiva Nadi Essential (TM). Pureshiva Nadi Premium (TM) offers you our highest dosed omega-3, vitamin c and calcium.

At what time of the day should I take my Pureshiva Nadi (TM) supplements and vitamins ?

Take them in the morning, ideally with the first meal of the day. This is the most optimal time to consume any supplements since they can be active in supporting the body throughout the day.

Do I have to take my Pureshiva Nadi (TM) supplements and vitamins with a meal?

We recommend that. Some of the included vitamins need to be ingested with some form of dietary fat in order to be most efficiently absorbed into the body. To achieve best absorption, these vitamins should be taken with food containing healthy poly or monounsaturated fats. Nuts, e.g., help the body absorb fat-soluble vitamins. Any meal that includes some dietary fats will allow these vitamins to be absorbed.

When can I expect to experience results ?

For most, peak improvement is reached after one month of using the products.

How long do your products last ?

Our products typically last 3-6 months after opening, depending on the item. We recommend using our products within 1 year after opening.

During pregnancy, are Pureshiva products safe to use ?

If you are pregnant or nursing, please consult your physician before taking this product. Our product ingredients are listed on the packaging.

What is the best supplement for overall health ?

Always check with your primary physician before starting a new supplement regimen.

This nutritional system combines powerful vitamins (b-complex vitamins and vitamin d), minerals (calcium and magnesium), antioxidants (vitamin c) and omeg-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA) from high quality fish oil.


Fish Oil:

Is it safe to take fish oil during pregnancy ?

Your recommended dose could be different, please consult your doctor before planning to take any medications or supplements.  As is the general consensus, EPA and DHA provide excellent benefits for your baby’s development.

Do you test on animals ?

Pureshiva does not and will never test on animals.

How can I identify the supplements in the daily packs ?

What are EPA and DHA ?

EPA and DHA are specific types of polyunsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids. Your body cannot produce these fatty acids – you must get them from the food you eat, or via supplementation. 

Do I need EPA and DHA ?

EPA and DHA are natural anti-inflammatory agents and play a role in brain health, heart health, protection against cancer, depression, improvement of skin conditions, inflammatory bowel disorders and arthritis.

Our typical diets are rich in Omega-6.  When our dietary intake of Omega-6′s far exceeds our intake of omega-3, our bodies may experience negative consequences with the underlying cause of increased systemic inflammation.  Minimizing dietary intake of omega-6 fatty acids, and supplementing your intake of omega-3 fatty acids, may help to reduce inflammation and the involved negative effects. 

What about mercury levels and other contaminants in fish oil ?

Most high quality fish oils are tested to ensure that any mercury or other heavy metal levels are all below detectable levels. Also, a Consumer Lab evaluation from 2006 of forty-two commercially available fish-oil supplements showed that all were free of mercury, PCBs and dioxins.

Do fish oil soft-gels require refrigeration ?

Ideally, they are stored in a cool and dry place but it is not necessary to refrigerate them.

Are there any contraindications for taking fish oil ?

We recommended that you see your physician to discuss whether you should take fish oil capsules if you have a condition like a bleeding tendency, are on blood thinning medications or are about to undergo surgery.

How do I take fish oil ?

We recommend taking fish oil with meals.  This reduces the chance of stomach upset or so called “fish burps” and fish oil is better digested with other foods. 

What size are the fish oil soft gels and are they easy to swallow ?

The soft gels are an industry standard soft-gel and are easy to swallow.

What about side effects from taking fish oil soft-gels ?

Fish oil provides nutrients for your body's needs daily and in general there should not occur any side effects. It is advised that people taking blood-thinning medications consult their doctors before and during taking fish oil.

Can or should I take fish oil with other vitamins ?

We recommend taking fish oil as part of a healthy diet and supplementation. Avoiding nutritional deficiencies will help to strongly improve your health and wellbeing. It is always advised to keep your physician up to date of your diet and supplementation.

I suffer from joint pain but have not been diagnosed with arthritis. Will taking fish oil help to make me notice a difference ?

Stiffness and pain in joints may benefit from a regular intake of omega-3 fish oil. Omega-3 fish oil should be effective because of its anti-inflammatory properties.

Based on research, are skin improvements of any kind supported ?

Decreased inflammation may lead to various skin improvements, like a strengthening of nails. Fish oil also helps to decrease skin cracking at the fingertips and helps to improve overall skin tone.

B-Complex with Vitamin C:

Why take B-Complex Supplements ?

Vitamin B-Complex supplements may help with a variety of health conditions, including anxiety, fatigue, depression, heart disease, premenstrual syndrome and skin problems. In addition, many people take a vitamin B complex to increase energy, enhance mood, improve memory, and stimulate the immune system.

What are the benefits of B-Complex vitamins ?

Each B vitamin is essential to certain bodily functions: B1 and B2 are important for healthy functioning of the muscles, nerves, and heart; B3 helps regulate the nervous and digestive systems; B5 and B12 are required for normal growth and development; B6 supports the immune system and aids the body in breaking down protein; B7 is involved in the production of hormones; and B9 helps cells make and maintain DNA.

When Should You Take a B-Complex Supplement ?

Taking a B-Complex supplement may be beneficial, in case you are not getting enough B vitamins from your food intake. Deficiency in B vitamins can cause a number of symptoms such as tiredness, loss of appetite, anemia, depression, abdominal pain, muscle cramps and hair loss.

If one is taking a Multi-Vitamin containing folic acid is it still safe to take a B complex that contains folic acid ?

As long as the total amount of folic acid in both supplements does not exceed 1,000 mcg per day it should be safe. Please consult your physician. 

What vitamins are usually considered members of B complex vitamins ?

Thiamin (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), B6 (Pyridoxine), B12 (Cyanocobalmin), Folic Acid, Biotin, and Pantothenic Acid.

What is Vitamin C ?

Vitamin C is also a powerful antioxidant that is believed to help boost the body’s immune system. Vitamin C may help to prevent colds.

How does the body use Vitamin C ?

Vitamin C is vital for proper development and growth as well as helpful to heal wounds. The body uses it also to make collagen tissue, necessary for healthy teeth and gums, blood vessels and bones. Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant and is believed to prevent the human body from damage caused by pollutants and toxicities e.g. smoke of cigarettes.

Do I need to take Vitamin C supplements ?

Many plants and most animals are able to produce their own vitamin C - unfortunately humans are not. Humans should eat / supplement ample amounts of vitamin C every day to prevent vitamin C deficiency.


Calcium with Vitamin D:

Can I get enough Vitamin D from my food ? 

Vitamin D from food sources generally cannot provide your body with enough vitamin D to meet daily requirements

Could I be Vitamin D deficient ? 

Typically, most of our Vitamin D doesn’t come from diet. Signs of Vitamin D deficiency may include muscle weakness and bone-pain but these symptoms are not always present. Some medicines and health conditions could hinder the normal absorption of calcium or vitamin D. Consult your doctor about a possible deficiency.

Am I am taking too much Vitamin D ?

Even though you are more than unlikely to, measuring the blood concentration of 25(OH)D will tell you if you are taking too much or too little Vitamin D. Please consult your physician.

Does Vitamin D help to repair muscles or make them stronger ?

Vitamin D may help to improve muscle tone and strength. Vitamin D is believed
to play a role in the signaling that is responsible for muscle protein synthesis.

How does Vitamin D help support stronger bones ?

Vitamin D promotes calcium absorption and helps to form and

maintain strong bones. 

Am I getting enough Calcium ?

The official recommendation is 1,000 mg per day for adults ages 19 to 50 and 1,200 mg for those above 50 years of age. A well-rounded diet with some servings of milk and dairy products max provide you with 600 mg to 800 mg a day. Our supplements may help you to achieve the recommended amount.

Do I have to take Calcium with Vitamin D ?

If your diet is lacking in calcium, it may be beneficial to take the two nutrients together. Vitamin D supports calcium absorption in the body.

Could Calcium and/or Vitamin D do anything to help improve bone density ?

There have been numerous studies in which vitamin D and/or calcium were
given to elderly people. Many of these have shown favorable results with e.g. increases in bone mineral density.
